NOT YOUR GRANDMA'S SWEATER

It's the most wonderful time of the year!! Hahaa! I love dressing for the fall. Mostly, I love sweaters and layering but never at the risk of looking frumpy! Fashionable sweaters are everywhere as they should be. The key to looking chic has everything to do with the actual fit of the sweater. I've learned that purchasing a cute piece of clothing one size up just because my size isn't available isn't always the smartest thing. I say this because I have done this very often and that behavior has led me to a closet full of a lot of things that do not do me a lot of justice when I wear them. As a result I've purged my closet and will be getting rid of a lot of items soon. My struggle is the fact that I am a smaller sized woman with curves. Natural curves not custom bought curves! Shade but no shade!

I may be small but I like to consider my self a *thick small* due to my curves and calf size and yes I am totally OK with that. As they would say back in the day...I've got meat on my bones! Any who I've finally decided that it is better for me to purchase my pencil skirts in a size six versus an eight. Purchasing a size eight only leaves me with a waist problem in my skirts and it's simply not a good look. My goal behind purchasing the bigger size was to avoid being over sexualized as many women are but that's not my problem. That problem belongs to society! A precise fit always results in a chic look and I love, love the justfab.com Harlow Knit Vest. I ordered a size small but had I been stuck in my old ways I would likely have ordered a medium. Finally, I'v gotten it together! The harlow vest paired with the JF Luxe Aliz boots is my type of fall wear! Expect to see the fabulous Aliz boots all over the blog this fall as there are so many ways to wear them! Keep it ridiculously fab, style lovers! Happy Monday!
