URBANISTA!

Recently I've had to spend a small amount of time traveling around to knock some things on my to do list out. I found myself in an area of my city that I hadn't visited in at least eight years! So of course after my mission was accomplished I decided to take a quick stroll through the mall with the sole intent not to buy a thing! Just too look, right?! Well, hours later I came home with a new necklace and a  faux leather faux fur hoodie. I am drawn to any store that has a slew of obnoxiously placed bright neon signs that read closing store, everything 25% off, additional discounts taken at register! Ha! So I went in. I haven’t shopped 5.7.9 in probably over a decade and it’s simply not a store that I would make any regular future stops to shop at. Why? Simply put I am well above the age of the teen-aged and or early twenties type of customer that shops there. Nonetheless, I love the trendy vest I was able to purchase on a discount at $15. Never too old for that!  I scored a chunky lion head statement necklace from Charlotte Russe ( a store that I regularly shop) on sale for $5!

I absolutely adore this look and I hope you do too! On another note, I hope that everyone had a blessed and happy thanksgiving. I am so grateful for life. As the year nears its end it always brings me to a moment of reflection. At the end of every year I celebrate Thanksgiving, my birthday (yep, I’m a December baby) and of course Christmas.

The biggest thing I’ve learned this year is to never, absolutely never stop loving! Apply this rule no matter the level of rejection, hurt, betrayal, and or lack of trust that you may feel; in spite of it all, never, absolutely never stop loving!
